Eveliina Juuri
I’m a Helsinki based color & material driven designer with expertise in industrial, product, packaging and CMF (color, material & finishing) design. I work creatively between more artistic and technical worlds where sustainable values and functionality are always kept as a main focus.
As a designer, I’m a strategic thinker who’s keen on finding functional solutions without compromising esthetics. New type of innovative materials are my passion and I’m constantly willing to find out new sustainable alternatives for existing solutions. I have wide experience of working with multidisciplinary teams and research projects, and good practice based experience of product development in different companies such as Converse Inc., Stora Enso and Fiskars. This has gained my knowledge of fast phased design work, consumer understanding and to emphasize good design communication. I hold a Master’s degree from Aalto University in Contemporary Design (prev. Product and Spatial Design) program and a Bachelor’s degree from Design, Aalto University.
Tools that I have in daily use: Adobe Creative Suite, CAD with Rhino and Keyshot for rendering. Hand sketching is always as part of my design process, whether it was with paper and pen or with an iPad. Besides physical mock-ups, I enjoy making renderings and fine-tuning materials in digital environments. In spare time I like to lose track of time by working in my own ceramic studio or by spending time in nature.
